Left hand of Shadow
If the caster does not touch anyone within five seconds of casting, then the spell expires and is wasted.

Left Hand of Darkness

"Shadow's dark might flow through me!"


After casting this spell, the caster has five seconds in which to touch someone with the palm of their left hand. When they do, the target may suffer pain or depression.




now does anyone else here think that this spell seems to continue the stereotype of occult practitioners as just stage magicians chanting a few words and then expecting something of it??

im sorry, but it pissed me off.

why does the target suffer pain? all the caster did was speak some words, no energy was required, nothing but some words. what makes the spell work?? human vocal cords? no focus is needed just the ability to speak. and why only 5 seconds?

im sorry but i HATE the stereotype that so many people use for us, and this spell seems to perpetuate it, i just wanted to see if i was the only one.
