Greetings! I'd love to share with the community here two different types of tea I make from common herbs. Both teas are a mix of a few things, but they are simple ingredients you can get from your local grocery store, or health foods store. So, here they are:

Calming Herbal Tea

-1 1/2 tsp. Dried Chamomile

-1 tsp. Dried Lavender

-Two-four pinches loose, ground green tea

-Squirt of Lemon Juice (Optional)

-Mint Leaves (Optional)

-Makes one standard size coffee mug of tea

Put 1 1/2 tsp. of chamomile into bowl with 1 tsp. of lavender. Ground together, and mix when you find the consistency to be correct. I usually ground down most of the chamomile flowers, to let out flavor, but you may do whatever you like. Add two-four pinches of green tea, and mix with chamomile and lavender. Place finished tea into your favorite loose leaf tea infuser, and let sit in hot, or cold water. If you're making cold tea, I enjoy putting four fresh mint leaves into my tea along with some ice cubes before drinking. If you're making hot tea, I enjoy either adding a squirt of fresh lemon juice, or drinking as is. You can certainly experiment with the tea, adding things you think would be absolutely delicious into the tea, or strengthening the flavors. Enjoy!

Fiery Herbal Tea

-1 tsp. Chamomile

- 1-3 black peppercorns

- 1/4 of a cinnamon stick, cut

-2 pinches ground cardamom

-Makes one standard size coffee mug of tea

Place chamomile into a bowl, and ground. As I said above, I like to crush the flowers, so that the flavor comes out, but you can do whatever you think is best. Place cinnamon and black peppercorns into another bowl. Crush each peppercorn, and crush cinnamon up into finer pieces. This part is a bit harder, so you might want to use a flat crushing method, which is simply to find something with a flat base, such as the flat part of a meat tenderizer, the bottom of a metal cup, a small cookie tin, a hammer, etc. to crush each against a flat surface, such as a countertop. This method is also somewhat risky, as you could loose what you crush. I suggest putting the herbs on a towel before crushing. After cinnamon and peppercorns are crushed, add them into the bowl with chamomile, and mix. Lastly, add the cardamom, and mix. Place into your favorite loose leaf tea infuser, and enjoy in hot water! I will sometimes put a half of a cinnamon stick into the tea, if I'm serving it to guests or others. It makes a nice appearance.

I do hope that these recipes are worthwhile to you all! Remember, both of these recipes for tea are my own creations. I understand that there might be other teas made with similar ingredients, or mostly the same ingredients. Also, any herbs can be switched out, strengthened, or taken out of the recipes based on your own opinion. Blessed be, and happy tea making!
