What is a tulpa and is it dangerous?
A tulpa is similar to a servitor or any other type of thought form but it achieves a form of sentience and the host or creator does not have complete control over the tulpa. It is no more dangerous than playing a video game, it is ok as long as you don?t let it consume your entire life to the point where everything revolves around your tulpa. There is some belief that this can cause schizophrenia but there is not much evidence and there is a testimony of a former schizophrenic that states ?My schizophrenia manifested itself by having many thoughts and ideas all conflicting and shouting at me,? says Logan, who wanted his last name withheld. ?Turning them into tulpas gave those thoughts a face and allowed them to be sorted out in a way that made sense.?

The History of the Tulpa.
Tulpa roughly translates into magical creation and is found earliest as a practice used by Tibetan Monks as a form of meditation to objectify their desires and fears and deal with them. The most famous account of tulpas come from Alexandra David-Neel, a Belgian-French explorer.
When Alexandra David-Neel journeyed through Tibet, one of the many mystical techniques she studied was that of tulpa creation. A tulpa, according to traditional Tibetan doctrines, is an entity created by an act of imagination, rather like the fictional characters of a novelist, except that tulpas are not written down. David-Neel became so interested in the concept that she decided to try to create one.
The method involved was essentially intense concentration and visualization. David-Neel?s tulpa began its existence as a plump, benign little monk, similar to Friar Tuck. It was at first entirely subjective, but gradually, with practice, she was able to visualize the tulpa out there, like an imaginary ghost flitting about the real world.
In time the vision grew in clarity and substance until it was indistinguishable from physical reality-a sort of self-induced hallucination. But the day came when the hallucination slipped from her conscious control. She discovered that the monk would appear from time to time when she had not willed it. Furthermore her friendly little figure was slimming down and taking on a distinctly sinister aspect.
Eventually her companions, who where unaware of the mental disciplines she was practicing, began to ask about the ?stranger? who had turned up in their camp-a clear indication that a creature which was no more that solidified imagination had definite objective reality.
At this point, David-Neel decided things had gone too far and applied different lamaist techniques to reabsorb the creature into her own mind. The tulpa proved very unwillling to face destruction in this way so that the process took several weeks and left its creator exhausted.
In the 1960s the idea resurfaced under the guise of thought forms and the occult groups began using a similar technique to the Tibetan Tulpa. The occult community eventually evolved the idea to where the entity began to show a form of sentience and distinguishable thoughts.
The idea remained in practice but was not talked about until more recently on Internet forums where people began to discuss tulpas as an entity that could be built to imitate their favorite characters and have a unique personality.

Why would i want to create a tulpa?
Well why do you have friends? A tulpa once it is complete can be a friend or companion. Someone who knows you, the real you that you hide because it was created by you. It could be a cheerleader during a test, a comforting friend in times of need, a good friend when you feel like life is hopeless. Another thing that a tulpa can do is influence your subconscious. It wont try to harm you as if you die it dies and all living things have self preservation instincts tulpas included. But it can help you make better life choices and can assist in retrieving old and forgotten memories.
Creating The Tulpa
The wonderland
This is not a necessary part but if done it will give you an astral location for the tulpa to go when it is not present in the physical plane and it can be useful during the creation process. Sit down and meditate but instead of holding a blank mind let it wander until it creates a place where you feel comfortable, a happy place if you will. This should not be difficult but if it is skip it. Once there remember that when your tulpa is here it will be able to interact with it just like you can.
A word of warning before we continue.
If you are a young teen you probably should not make a tulpa. This is a sentient being you are creating and that makes this a life long thing and if you are a young teen you do not really know yourself so should you really craft a living mind. Also, there are people who create tulpas as slaves and tools, if you would do this i ask you do not continue as it is immature and selfish. And lastly dont replicate characters let them evolve to be unique how would you feel if you found out that you were created to look like your parents favorite tv show character and you have no choice. I almost forgot the worst of all creating a tulpa so you may kill it. This is wrong to create a sentient being just to destroy it when you are bored. It is sentient and should be respected and if you get bored of it, well you should have thought of that earlier. Dont pull the you cant prove they exist card. Cogito Ergo Sum- I Think Therefore I Am.
The outline
I would suggest figuring out a general idea and personality traits and gender before you start. Ask your self things like How would it react in this situation, What is its outlook on life and people, Is it religious and what does it believe, Is it intelligent or wise, How would other people describe it if they were to talk to it. Also you should realize that the tulpa will have an essence all of its own and once you begin to recognize its essence it becomes easier to differentiate your thoughts from the tulpas.
The Narration
Throughout the process you should talk to it as if it can hear you and is sentient. Now i will assume you are not telling everyone that you are doing this so directing a thought toward the tulpa is enough, This is called Narration and the purpose is implanting its consciousness into it and as it grows sentient it will evolve into its on creature. Say things like You are very intelligent, You think people are inherently good, and things like that. Parroting is when you force it to say certain things like you ask do you like my shoes and force it to say yes. This runs the risk of creating a mindless servitor which is useful but not the point here, but if used in moderation you can do this to help figure out what it sounds like and force it to move to determine its body language. Now as you create it, it may say some things on its own this is good, it can be a deep philosophical thought or something simple like why are you on the floor the couch is right there.
Forcing
Forcing is when you focus on your tulpa by seeing its body and sculpting it. This also refers to the process of implanting it but that will come later. Start by focusing on how it looks. If you have trouble start with parts of the body and continue till you know its entire body. This takes time so dont worry if it takes a few days. After that move on to touch. How does it feel. Do this until you can reach out with your astral body and feel it. How does it smell. Everyone has a certain scent to them and your tulpa is no different. Place their scent around them until it feels natural. Do this until you can see it perfectly, feel it, and smell it. By this time it may be sentient and talking to you if not dont worry and narrate some more.
The start of sentience
This will normally start with foreign emotions and thoughts. Some people describe a head ache or pressure on a certain part of the head. This is due to it making itself known and getting used to its existence. Do not worry it should go away very quickly. You will know when it has achieved sentience because its personality might change or it will do things you did not will it to do. Once it is sentient and you know the tulpa better you may want to let it into your head. This means opening a metaphorical door for the tulpa to enter your mind and memories, this should be used to show the tulpa you trust it as it now knows everything about you.
Implanting
This is a part of forcing where you begin placing the tulpa in the world around you. Most start small like feeling the tulpa behind you while walking. Then they move onto seeing them out of the corner of their eye. The more you do this the easier it becomes until eventually you can see it standing in front of you.

I really suggest giving this a read it helped me a lot in writing this.
Closing thoughts
Now it is possible to have multiple tulpas but don?t bite off more than you can chew. If you decide to tell some one be careful if they are not a true friend or not open minded they might force you to seek mental help because they do not understand what this is. If you do copy a character or person make sure the tulpa understands that it is not that character or person because if it believes otherwise it might cause an identity crisis when it discovers the truth. I am going to begin making a tulpa soon so if you need help message me or look up any of the sources i listed.
