This is basically a way to stay safe while thinking about contacting deities, fey, spirits, and any other entity. Due to events that have happened recently, I felt like witches who classify as a beginner need to know a few things before they try to contact an entity. If you think that something may be contacting you, for example, you keep seeing doves and you think that Venus is trying to contact you; you must take measures to keep yourself safe. One very simple thing you could do, is try doing a pendulum reading. You could take your pendulum, and cast a circle. Once your circle is casted only allow the entity you believe is trying to contact you inside the circle. Once you feel their presence, simply ask them if they are trying to contact you. This is a crucial thing, for many times witches can mistake an entity for another. A negative entity may be feeding off your energy, while you think that you are bonding with Venus. Again, I want to keep y'all safe and make everyone prepared to defend themselves if needed. Once again, ALWAYS check to see if the entity who is contacting you is the entity you think it is.
