how to train a perfect familiar.

Covens Spell Casters  ► Articles  ► how to train a perfect familiar.
as the title says

As you should already know, familiars are animals that help with magic and are usually cats. However, for a familiar to turn out perfect you should raise them from birth and, every time they succeed training, give them a treat. That's really all you need to do for a perfect familiar.

This needs an edit. Familiars historically were believed to be impish demons gifted to witches that took on animal form. Bats, Black cats, black dogs, crows, owls, toads, rats and other creatures that were seen as evil were considered to be witches familiars sent to spy on their victims. It was also believed these familiars would feast from the witches teat, which was any mark or blemish on a persons body and used as ''proof'' of their nefarious ways. Over time, actual practitioners of witchcraft adopted the term for a pet that not only could sense Magikal energy, but had a special bond with the witch. These are normal animals we simply treat with the love and respect they deserve and in return, they help us in our craft. Study the animals behavior so you better understand them. Feed them the best food for them. Treats are encouraged, but in moderation. Train your pet, give it exercise, love, and everything it would need to thrive. That is how you cultivate a familiar bond. Regarding training, it will depend on the specific animal and temperament. Training a dog will be easier than training your snake, but both can be familiars and assist in your craft.
