Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. This is not a full proof method by any means. This is a guide that has helped me achieve astral projection for exploring other realms. You can modify it to which ever way works for you. I am also posting a link to a youtube video that also explains the chakras.

I am linking this video as it does an amazing job at explaining how the chakras work and how the become blocked.
The first chakra is the root chakra located at the base of the spine. This chakra is blocked by fear. Sit in a comfortable position. Imagine breathing in red energy and exhale the negative. The only thing that matters is the now. Ground yourself to the moment.
The second chakra is the naval chakra. This chakra is located in the genital area. This chakra is blocked by guilt. Imagine breathing in orange energy. Let it fill your body. The past mistakes don't matter. The only thing that matters is the now.
The third chakra is the solar plexus. This one is located in the stomach and is blocked by the ego. Imagine breathing in orange energy. No one is better then another in this world.
The fourth chakra is the heart chakra. This is located in the chest. This chakra is blocked by pain. Let go of all that brings you sorrow and make room for new love. To help open this chakra imagine breathing in green energy.
The fifth chakra is the throat ckakra. This chakra is blocked by lies. Let go of the lies we tell ourselves. Imagine breathing in blue energy.
The Sixth chakra is the third eye. It is located in the mind. This ckarkra is blocked by illusions. The biggest lie we tell ourselves is that everyone is separated when we are really all connected. Imagine breathing in an indigo color.
Once all six chakras are open the seventh one will open on its own. Let the pure energy wash through out your body. Feel it cleansing you.
If you are able to open the seventh chakra the next point is to creating a jumping point. Imagine something that soothes you. A happy place. It may be a beautiful garden full of flowers. It may be in the middle of the woods surrounded by animals. It may be the center of the universe surrounded by millions of stars.
What is filling your senses? The ground beneath your feet? Is it soft or hard? Is the sun shining gentle on your skin offering its warmth? Is the wind carrying a scent with it? What else do you see or sense?
When you are ready think of where you would like to go. Let your spirit guides lead your path to your destination. Don't look for what you want see. Be an empty slate and allow the energy around you to present itself.
Once you are finished thinking about returning to your jumping point. From there allow your spirit to enter your body.
