What spells?

Hello,
I was wondering if I can get a list of spells that actually work? I'm still trying to learn the basics on my own, which is hard if you can imagine amongest religous family. But I really need to know which ones work cause I don't have alot of money for supplies for spells and obviously need want to buy only what I need. If you can do this and/or give me some tips on how to get myself going and to get better will be very appreciated.

If you're still trying to learn the basics of magick, then you may want to stay away from casting spells until you've had significantly more amounts of basic training. However, you can do meditative spells and prayers that don't require any materials, candle spells, simple herb spells (a lot of times you have common spell herbs in your house, especially if you have a spice cabinet/rack of some sort), elemental-based spells, casting a circle (energy spells, usually involving prayers, candles, and salt) - Don't launch right into buying things without doing a lot of research first. Start small, and then work your way from there.

Firstly, you can use common sense to dictate which spells are obviously not going to work. If it sounds fluffy- it probably is. Most people with study and practice write their own spells. You could begin doing that- after studying the bare essentials.
