I've been a practicing Wiccan for some 30 years and I'm always glad to answer questions or point folks at good resources even if I don't take on-line students.
Hi I am a little new too but I saw someone suggesting books for you. May I suggest the author Silver RavenWolf? Some of her books include Teen Witch, which is a great pick for easy understanding beget her you're a kid or not, and To Ride a Silver Broomstick. She has plenty others and she has a knack for explaining things and doing so in a way that makes you pay attention.
MaidenCrow, I thought I should point out that Silver Ravenwolf is not considered a reliable author on the subject of Wicca. Her books are sadly full of misinformation that will only need to be unlearned later. I addition, her ethics are highly questionable and she is known to lie about her own initiation. She's not someone I would recommend as a good place to start for a person just starting out.
I agree with Lark, find other books before reading hers. I'm not a Ravenwolf fan, but To Ride a Silver Broomstick is one of her better books. I strongly urge Aurora, you read some other books before Silvers, I know many people who were either turned off of Wicca or convinced she was the only accurate author on the subject after reading her book before say Scott Cunningham.
Cast your net wide but trust yourself. If you read something you feel doesn't sound right to you, then meditate/reflect on the subject the answer will come to you. Example, my first book was Wicca for Life by Raymond Buckland, in it he said Wiccans aren't too fond of homosexuality because there needs to be a male and female balance. I'm a strong supporter of gay rights so this didn't sit well with me. I choose to ignore this point. [Also found out its not a universal rule.] The Rede is really the only rule all Wiccans follow, the extent of the Rede is a personal view [some people don't cast love spells others become vegan] even the Threefold Law, I know people who ignore it, and some who view it as a nine fold law. [9 times over instead of 3.]
Lark is right. a reliable book for beginners would be the ones written by Scott Cunningham. I used them and I still do. They will help you a lot. Trust me :)
