What kind of music is commonly played or performed in wicca?
Genre? Instruments? Maybe there's a certain dance performed? Give as much detail as possible

Both music and dance are or can be used in Wiccan practices. They are certainly valid methods of achieving the altered state of consciousness that is part of engaging in ritual work in Wicca.

There really is no such thing as "Wiccan music" per se. What sorts of music one enjoys or that one employs during ritual is largely up to the individual or the coven. I've heard everything from rock, to Gregorian chant, to New Age depending on the preference of the person using it.

The same thing holds true with dance and/or other forms of movement. Dance can also be a way of achieving an altered state of consciousness. The most common sort of dance takes place at Beltane when a Wiccan group might choose to dance around the Maypole weaving bright ribbons around the upright pole. In this case and at the other Sabbats it is a way of adding our energy to turning the Wheel of the Year. Don't think of such dances as having formal steps like a waltz or tango. It's more an informal hopping, skipping, and sometimes even leaping form of movement to music
