What does this mean.

Again I am a beginner. Was curious some of the basic beliefs of a dianic wiccan and what anglo Saxon means. I can't seem to find a reputable website. I know a little about dianic and it having a large feminism aspect, but I don't know if that's for me, because I believe all genders should be equal. Advice on how to decide what type I am? I don't know where to start but I need ur help because I have no other people in my life that r willing to talk and except that I am beginning to study wicca and wanting to practice it. Please reply. My last question was ignored :/

Perhaps you were ignored because there is nothing on your profile. Angles and Saxons were among the first settlers in England after the Romans;hence Anglo Saxon.
Wicca represents both male and female equally.

As Brysing mentioned, the Anglo-Saxons were Germanic tribes that first invaded Britain in the 5th century AD and continued to rule Britain until the invasion of the Normans under William the Conqueror in 1066. The Anglo-Saxon words " Wicce " (a female Witch) and " Wicca " (a male Witch) are the root of the modern Wicca as a religion.

There are two forms of Dianic Witchcraft (not Wicca). The first was founded by Z. Budhapest and is strictly for women only and for the worship only of the Goddess. There is no male deity in her form of Wicca. The other group are the McFarland Dianics who do permit men into their circles and who worship the God as a consort, but lesser than the Goddess.

Wicca on the other hand is based on gender polarity/equality. Both the God and the Goddess are essential to Wicca as the religion is basically a fertility cult..

There are some good threads on this site to get you started: I would recommend starting with " What Wicca Is and Isn't " at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=637268 It's right here in the Wicca Forum

The other place to start reading is in the " Main Wicca Post s" at http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=580909 There are a number of threads in that section I think you'll find useful including one with recommendations for books and websites to help your studies.

Thank you both again. I'm on my mobile and have been trying to save the information on my profile the whole day but it keeps logging me off. Sorry! But I didn't think about that. It does make since when my profile is blank to not respond. I wanted to apologize in advance to my ignorance to these topics that come so natural to you both since you both possess knowledge. I'm trying to learn.. but all that I've learned in other places has come from untrustworthy sources I suppose. Thank you for answering me!

As usual, very good advice from Lark. Except for one small point! Anglo Saxons ruled in England;not Britain!
