You don't need anything except a willingness to learn.

Start with lots of research, there are lots of great articles written by very knowledgeable practitioners on here, but there are also lots of great e-books or free pdfs that can help you start out,local libraries may also contain some good beginner books (depending on your location).

Any items and tools you may want can be purchased or made later on in your path, they are added extras rather than necessity as a beginner.
