Yes! I have two very basic pieces of advice:

1: Choose a book for someone just starting out, and follow it to its end. Even if it's not a tradition or aspect of witchcraft you choose to stick with, it will at least help give you a foundation.

2: Read and research as much as you can! There are so very many different beliefs and traditions, ways of doing things, it will help give you ideas and make you a more rounded person both within your practice and outside it.

One bonus piece of advice: Have fun experimenting with things. Some stuff takes a long time to learn, such as the minutia of astrology, but it doesn't hurt to learn about it and see if it's something you want to pursue more. It's partly how a lot of practitioners end up with massive libraries.

Kellybean, I see you're a returning member. Sadly, the chat is much quieter than it used to be. These days a thread in the forum is often much more likely to get responses, unless you stick around in chat for a while longer to see if anyone responds. As usual, weekends are busier for the chat than during the week.

I follow a few groups on Facebook and get advice from there..
Iv also been reading a lot.
