Spell for my help my son

I could use some help. I have done a few small spells and they seemed to have work. My son is starting his final test for army basic training. Basically it is mental and physical test of all the things he has learned. I have assembled a small alter and lit a candle in his honor. I want to do a easy/small spell for him. To wish him luck and send extra help for the physical and mental challenges he will face in the week ahead. Can you give me some advice or help? Thanks, the Gypsy

First of all, let me congratulate you and your son for choosing to join the warrior class of your nation. There is no greater sacrifice that that which is for ones nation, peoples and family in defense of freedom. May the Gods protect your son and reward him for his courage.

In my faith, entry into the armed forces is a rite of passage. We celebrate with a feast and leave an offering on our altar to honor our gods of war, Odin, Tyr and Thor. When our soldiers are away from home, we keep vigil and hope for their safety and speedy return. I can only suggest that you leave an offering to your deities on your altar and leave a strong light burning outside your home as a beacon for him to return to. Write to him often and send words of pride and support. If a spell is what you seek, devise one for protection of your son and his fellow soldiers. They are a team and must rely on each other for survival.
