Hello, SoM! I want to ask a question about a new path for my craft, but I'm not 100% sure if it's a true path or not...

Sound witchery.

From my research, sound witchery is attuning/aligning your spells, incantations, and sigils to music and sounds in general. In general, I have asked on Quora and other platforms, with mixed results. So, I'm asking you guys. Is this a valid path, or something that the media has created in its delusions?

Sounds and vibrations have been used in magical castings as well as other types of energy raising for thousands of years. Chants, mantras, drumming, singing, chimes, gongs, bells, singing bowls, rattles, shakers, horns, flutes, and other instruments have been used to raise energy and cleanse spaces or other items contained with in a magical or spiritual space. It is common to use the spoken word to help aid spell work by adding the energy vibrations of the spoken word to the total energy available for a casting. This is why clear and concisely spoken mantras and other chants are added to a spell or other magical casting. Drums and flutes were used on the battle fields to not only raise energy but to direct the soldiers on the battle field or into battle, as well as to instill fear and panic in the enemy. Vibrations from sound can also clear a space and a great example isa didgeridoo or even a ram's horn however, one can also use a singing bowl, gong, or even a drum to cleanse a space with sound.
