Hecate?

Hello, I hope I'm posting this in the right category. I'm a beginner witch and I'm trying to find my path in the world yet, however already I stumbled upon the name Hecate and after researching her I can't stop thinking about her. She's always in my thoughts and I would really love to build her an altar and start talking to her, and giving her offerings, however I wonder if this is dangerous or if she wouldn't answer me because I'm still a bit lost? Should I wait a bit more before setting things up and start offerings for her? Is it risky or safe? Thank you so much in advance.
