There were multiple incidents where I would get beyond enraged and I would become a whole other being of extraordinary strength and power. I will show you a picture of the thing that gave me these powers. This being is extremely violent and short tempered.

Ares, you are human I find it doubtful that you became anything else. You may have felt differently due to being in a state of rage but you didn't become another creature.

well, let listen for a minute. It could be a sign of possession or vesselage ( correct me if thats the wrong term for being a vessel). I've heard stories of possessed old ladies picking up SUVs. But he would probably know whats going on in that case.

This "ability" is anger, which stimulates adrenaline and so forth. Thus the strength and other such qualities.

This is natural. Attributing it to something else is silly. Learn to control yourself.

It just sounds to me like the battle trance topic we have going on the forum. You should check it out Ares. If I'm not mistaken, Norse berserking is very much like you described. I assure you, it's very natural, as Awake said, it is adrenaline and in this case, fueled by anger.

Learning to control it is all about learning to control your own thoughts and emotions. Meditation and trance can help with that, as well as being observant and consciously aware of your action, thoughts and emotions. Most people don't realize how much they ignore the details of their mind, emotions and behavior. They just "do" with no awareness. Increase your awareness and you'll get the control you desire. Once we are aware of something, it is easy to change it or work toward it, depending on whether it is undesired or desired.
