ignore threads and users

P.S. – I know I can just “ignore” it but I don’t want to see it on my screen at all. I hope I’m not coming off as whiney.

i don't think that is whiney. i feel the same way. :)

if i deleted EVERY thread that causes an argument, would that improve things? i'm going to need some sort of you guys' approvement first

because i am just as sick of all this too. if i have 5 people agree, i'll start

i think it would take forever. because it seems like alot of threads here start arguments.

Please don’t – I’m not asking for that, you shouldn’t delete anything BTW, content is important. Don’t go on a rampage, please.

If threads don’t break the rules but do have arguments, don’t delete. I would usually consult the other moderators first, I don’t think the people have the right to tell the moderators what they have to delete, I would go to silver and lady o first.

Content is fragile and the gravy of a community, it deeply offends people when their information is deleted that they placed effort in due to an argument. Debate is socially normal, you cannot avoid it. like I said, I usually would contact another moderator before making decisions, even then I wouldn’t usually delete more than two posts per week (statistically, because I cannot practice to just delete threads/posts) if they were deeply brutal and antagonistic of course or simply against the rules.

I agree that posts shoudn't be erased but that it should be duely noted that everyone has different views which is where most of the arguments come from. As long as the rules are followed I do not see why people can not state their beliefs. However some of the younger users a few of the older (including myself here) are not always good for words in what not to say in which will be fired against. Would it not be as wise to may be give advice to those that say good things but shown how to say it without causing ill effect? Espcially as this is being read not heard!
