Well information can hurt because it makes you less ignorant and as "they" say, "Ignorance is bliss".

Back in California we would have Mormons come to our doors and ask for us to join. We always saw the same people and we became friends. They gave us a video about Jesus's suffering...not something you should watch while eating.

I dislike groups that have separated from Catholicism, starting from european groups like evangelists and protestants till these modern that are born in the USA daily.
Those groups have some strange methods and often create their own rules, mythology and produce fundamentalists almost as much as Islam does.

Yes that is true, when a religion tried to make a new sect that barely relates to the original it shows that that religion has become obselite (sp?).

I know the history of two branches of Christianity in America today. Both were started here in America. One is good, one is bad.

Mormonism - by many people, Christians mostly, Mormons are no longer considered Christians. So many different churches have so many different beliefs now and most do not focus on the main points of Christianity. Some even go so far as to claim that when men die they become gods while females only exist as their angels(supporting sexism), I think this may be one reason why multiple wives was an idea of theirs when it first started. To speak of history, the man who started Mormonism was a drunken gambler in desperate need for cash. He got this cash by starting his own religion(Mormonism) to appeal to the desires of various people who in turn paid him for teaching them it was OK to do certain things.

Baptism - This is the good one, more specifically Southern Baptism, which does not necessarily have to be in the South of America. This was started by Martin Luther King(I'm not sure if it's Jr or Sr) in the attempt to sort of 'recreate' Catholicism, you could say. At least in America, Catholicism has strayed far from what it was originally and goes against many parts of the bible. This includes the very bible they choose to use, so even they teach that they don't do things what could be called the right way. Southern Baptism was/is an attempt to run the church in the way Jesus taught it should be run. This is the branch of Christianity I choose to follow for this very reason.

I've always want to try out a Black (not to be racist or anything) Southern Baptist church because if its like what it is in movies and on TV. Thats sound really fun and energetic.

Idc I prefer tradition. I find it better to fix a problem instead of running from it.

What i want to know is what theyre teaching these kids these days in those silly groups or after school classes or whatever it is you call them because a kid younger than me had the pair enough to come up to me and tell me i was going to hell for being a polythiestic heathen and a fag. I darn near rearanged his face for him i was so offended.
