You see a problem is that people take what he writes for face value, without seeking the symbolical references. Again people dont like his ways as its not what society expects.

also i would not call him a "occult preacher" you will find that his references to "occultnicks" is there to expose it for the fictional idiocy that it is. and like he said you will never find occultnicks with a sence of humour

Oh maybe he thinks we sacrifice animals or children like the many misinformed others..who do not look beyond the symbolism and meanings.

I did not say "dangerous to children". I said that children might be *unduly influenced". Of course there are references in LaVey's writings to "self knowledge", and finding the right path, etc. There are also blatant lies! He actually claims, not only to having an affair with Marilyn Monroe (he made the claim only after her death of course.), but that he actually influenced her career!When she was a dancer! Marilyn Monroe was never a dancer; and Levey (let's give him his real name) never ever met the lady!

LOL the funny thing there is if you continued to study his work, you would find that the Marylyn Monroe scenario is part of his own psycho drama, a desire he wished.

The fantasy was written during a ritual to attain his own emotional gratifaction. So he used this for his work.

I dont know darkermaster, but i read his profile and he sounds very knowledgeable, and the page from his book is superb.

Ill be buying a copy, its just a shame their are haters in the world who oppose the realistic approach

In case Brysing forgot, the basic of magic is the shifting and changing of energy.
You do not know the EXACT details of a church I bet you've never been to.
Not to mention there have been so many other posts in this section that truly had nothing to do with magic, I don't see Brysing making a fuss in them too.

Religion, especially one that embraces the study of magic, has to do with magic. Even in Christianity, they pray, which is indeed considered chanting, and they perform rituals.

Dark does, and I've heard him speak of it, perform certain rituals, he may not believe in spirituality, but he doesn't have to!

Many people can speak for Dark's knowledge on Satanism, it's difficult to match or live up to. I know who Buddha was, but I'm not going to argue with a very serious and very experienced Buddhist about their religion and how relevant it is to magic. Simply because I bet, I just bet, that they might know more than I do. I know, it's hard to believe, but Brysing doesn't know everything.

Why are the darker things in life feared to the point that rational people will throw stones? I don't think it is anyone's place to say that a satanists ways are wrong or not appropriate for children to be exposed to. Those that point a finger at this type of magic and the religion that goes with it are uneducated. To say that it is rubbish is like saying that anything you don't agree with is rubbish and that is not the case. Just because you don't approve of these ideas and actions does not mean you can bash them with out consequence. Those that do this sound like fundamentalists and that is scarier than a Satanist.

Best of luck with your church. I hope that you are able to teach those who want to learn with little interference from those who would like to destroy it.
