Wrong with Humans?

The species (sapiens) have only been around for about 200,000 years whereas the genus (Homo) have been around for about 2.5 million years. In comparison to the dinosaurs who died out about 65 million years ago and started up about 230 million years ago, we are babies while they are ancient old men. ;)

Other than that, yes I agree that humans are animals Brysing, I also agree that it is in our nature to destroy, however we also create. Honestly speaking, we are of a dual nature, and so to only focus on one end or the other is flawed.

Look around you for two seconds, see the computer, the cell phone, the house phone, the light bulbs, the tv, the couch, the house, the electric plugs, etc, see everything in your home. Look at all of this and know that it was created by humanity's hand.

Then go outside and got to a park of some sort (state parks would be best) and look around, then go to someone who has wonderful landscaping on their lawn and takes care of said lawn. Humanity keeps this up and takes care of this part of the land. They care very lovingly for it.

Honestly speaking, humanity creates about as much as it destroys if you look at it. Yeah, in a few thousand years after we are dead many of the things we've created will be long gone, but also so will anything that's harmful to the environment.

At most we can be blamed for extinctions, and I don't really blame us for that because it happens naturally through natural selection. Who knows, all the animals we have caused the extinction of may be better off the way they are now rather than trying to bring them back.

Oh. humanity has done much more than just invent things. Heart transplants, kidney transplants. How about eye surgery? Yes, yes, there is much to blame; but much to be grateful for.

Agreed. Modern medicine is simply amazing. And what we have discovered about ourselves and life in general...well it's just wonderful when you really look at it. ^_^

I as well think that modern medicine is good. But there is also bad things. For instance, in the early ages, man was not so sanitary as we are today and that they had no idea how to cure these different diseases that we can right now. But, now-a-days the human popualtion is increasing do to the cleaness and the cureable diseases. That means that we will have overcrowding, spread of new diseases, less jobs, little to bad housing choices, pollution, lack of food, ect.

But there is also a good side to increased population. By having a large population of people, if done and treated right, and not by corrupt governments, can have a giant positive effect. Done well, a large population creates an industrial base that accelerates technological advances and inceased military power.

Yes we are animals. Yes we are nothing that is not natural. Yes, our days are numbered.

I think that Human's are not bad people. I think what they do depends on what they are taught or how they are raised. One school that I know of in my state teaches that Global Warming is a myth so that's what they learn to believe. Some parents don't teach their kids that stealing is wrong or they teach them that what they believe is the only right way. Other things happen through people being uneducated.Until a few decades ago people didn't know that smoking gives you lung cancer so, people smoked and they continued to smoke. I think that their is a very small ammount of people who just don't care because people just arn't born not caring about anything they learn by example. Humans who call other people dumb or stupid are doing that because it's what they have been taught or what they have seen other people doing. Think about it the leading excuse for high schoolers using foul language where I live is because everyone else is doing it . Do you see what I mean about learning by example? And because naturally all humans want to conform or fit in. I`m not talking about everyone but some high school teens will do or believe anything just to join a particular group, so not all humans are evil. heani, the population is not increasing in the areas of the world where sanitary is the norm. It is only increasing where there is no birth control. India? In fact we here in the UK could do with some increase! The population is aging; we are living longer; and we need more young to take care of the old.

Most people need to change the way they are living!!!

What is wrong with the human race? Nothing, it is just that we have ALL been lied to. At one point, our great families have been lied to, and that lie has been passed on to generation to generation. And we are angry, because we believe in this lie, and we want to believe in this lie. But, it is a lie. Nothing more.

I agree with you we are young and arrogant, it another millenia for
HUMANS to learn as a group, in my case I hate violence or anything harmful. It actually hurts to see others in pain for me and I love nature.
