I'm not a satanist myself, but I can say that most of the satanists I've encountered seem more grounded and intelligent than the average pagan. As for the animal sacrifice, that is generally the work of depraved individuals who claim to be satanists with little or no knowledge of the actual workings. People should learn to look past stereotypes and gather some actual facts before passing judgment.
true satanism don't do any blood sacrifices... the demons don't need it... if your doing blood sacrifices, maybe its not a demon, its a reptilian your working on.. demons are not reptilians...
Satanism is varied greatly the only one Satanism I know that is evil is the Fake one that christians tend to make up and over exaggerate. The others actually are nicer then Christianity as a whole. Not to mention Satanist tend to be allot less hypocritical then Christians who go to church one day of the week and assume that makes up for the past 6 days of pure sin they commit. Besides no Christian has the right to judge it is their number 1 rule "thou shalt not judge" and by judge they are the worse of their kind by their own rules. Besides angels are bleh and icky. Not to mention annoying >.<
i feel like people that call them selves satanist (or are)

i my self started with wicca and along the way i found my self mostly drawn to satanism and demonology
i don't call my self any of those since i am still learning about
it, and yes every time i feel that i have learned something i find something new
but maybe if i need to put my self in one of those paths it would be satanism!
and no i never met a satanist who does harm to other or do blood sacrifices (like kill animals ect)
i my self don't do that and would never do it
even when other people ask me to do a spell for them i don't do it
just i don't like other people doing anything for me i won't do for them!
but this is my choice i am not saying that if other do it that it's wrong
and no we don't eat babies,always wear black,and think we are better than others
most satanist i have met are intelegent and strong minded people
and yes there are a few crazy ones out there!
just like in any cult,path or relegion (whatever any of you like to call it)
Also not I or any other Satanists I know have ever slaughtered an animal. Maybe if they were to follow a christian concept of it, animals are sacred to Satan in my type of path in this.

Girl, this is like-Hmm i love children but i never could eat a whole one... (kidding!) but i think that children should not be placed in the same sentence with the animals (FOR FOOD)
