Are we not meant to take the Bible as the word of God, is that not what we are told, regardless of who wrote what.

I'll be honest I haven't really read the Bible all the way through, once I found out the ending it sort of spoilt it for me, but I did know all about the contradictions and thats why I don't believe in it.

Lets face it the original poster is claiming to summon demons, do you not find that against Christian beliefs, to ask a demon for help, when it should be our Lord that is petitioned.

Im sorry the contraditions in it cause to not to believe in it.
I see many contradictions in it and the preachers who preach it as well. But i still believe in it becasue thats where i was called from. However i do not get my words from God through just that one book or source . I recieve his words by direct communication with him, the most high thought.
I havent read it in years upon years, but i speak to God and jesus every day. They know what spells ive done and ones i want to do.

Yes i belive the bible is the writen word of God, But imo anybook ever written is the writen word of God, If i read a manual on how to build acomputer, it is the written word of God.
Christianity is not my religion, wtichcrafts is not my religion, I am not bound by any doctorine, text, or anyone interpretation of a doctorine or text.

Yes, revelations is a bit creepy and can ruin your day lol. but I looke at the bible as a manual, i see it as a love note. If im looking for answers, i see revelations as the answers in the back of the book, a cheat sheet if you will, like how in school sometimes you get math tests with the answers in the back of the book.

as far as summoning demons for help i dont think thats what perry meant, Ive read the grimoirs he suggested, they mention summoning demons, but they say clearly it is not reccoomended.
But still, people should realize how much Jesus was acually exposed to, witchcraft, mystiscysm, paganism, everything you could imagine, Imo he would have known how to fight and summon demons.

In recent years I have believed Jesus was more involved in conjure than anyone else around that time, think about it, the fasting in the desert, conversations with the devil, his ability to heal people, bringing them back from the dead, gold, frankincense, myrrh, hyssop, all tools used in conjure and from books older than Jesus.

Christians pick and choose what they believe and the teachings they follow all the time. For example, the Bible prohibits premarital and extramarital sex and divorce also. How many people do you know who believe or follow this? One only has to look at the wide variety of beliefs and practices of the various Christian denominations to know that organized religions are no different. The spectrum of beliefs about the Bible, for example, range from it being the inspired Word of God to it being a guideline and open to interpretation.

Calling Christian witches retarded is the kind of thinking that started this thread originally. This would be a much better community if everyone would open their minds and learn about each other instead of resorting to name calling when they disagree.

i see your point perrych, and i don't see why people find it necessary to send you mail mocking you. i will admit i use to chuckle at the 'Christian Witch' idea, but i would never insult or disrespect those who followed that path. the reason why i'd laugh at the idea when i was younger, was i found the statement an oxymoron.

to be Christian you must, among other things, denounce witchcraft because they have joined with the devil. to be a Witch, you must cast spells, as well as not believe in a being of pure evil. as i aged, however, and started to learn about Christian Witches, i thought it was fine, so i just don't care, it's like someone who practices Hoodoo or Reiki, it's just another path to me.

Not to be 'dragging the dead horse', but I stumbled across this post.

A Christian Witch is different from being a Christian Wiccan. Witchcraft is a practice that Pagans (and other religions, but we are usually just called Pagans) practice. Wicca, is a relatively modern religion.

Contrary to popular the belief, the Bible doesn't say anything against the practice of magic. But what it does say has been took out of context. Also, if 'God forigives all' why would he hate people who practice magic?

On the whole, I find the term 'Christian Wiccan' very contradictive due to the beliefs being entirely different, although there are a few connections. Its like saying you are a 'Hindu Muslim.' Instead of calling yourself Christian Wiccan just say 'I am a witch, but I follow Christianity.' Meaning that you believe in God, the teachings of the Bible, etc but practice magic. A Christian Wiccan would be confusing because which belief system would you choose, and which deities would you follow?

Also, perrych, I find the way you have posted this article and the context you have took it into is not very civil. Be careful what you say, it might be offensive to some. Especially when you accuse people they respect of plaguiarism.

We should all bare in mind more often that each of us have different beliefs, and almost everything is based down to perception. Nobody's belief is 'wrong' or 'right', because it is how somebody else sees it. We cant be too biased here when somebody else is sharing their opinion.
