but there are levels of sin. To kill someone and to lie both are sins but lie can be forgiven but murderer is always punished. In Holy Bible magick is a great sin.
True, but witchcraft is listed with the same severity as drunkenness, anger, and not following rules of ritual cleanliness, and Christians do those all the time.

The Bible was written by men not a god, whether "inspired" or not, humans are not perfect and culture, time period, and person morals and values snuck in there quite a lot. The expectations of the Bible are defy natural human nature. And most of the "sins" listed were apart of the old testiment, the Torah, which was Jewish. Even Jews see their Torah as "guidelines" not "rules" they must abide 100%. The Jewish religion has much more freedom than Christianity. Christianity itself bases it's following on Jesus's example, to live as he did, and Jesus himself performed magick feats.
Wow. No offense, but you guys can be ignorant. Im Catholic, and never have I read anything in the Bible against magick. Yes, raising the dead FORCEFULLY is bad, but in a scripture Jesus gave a dead man life, and the man (or his soul rather) accepted the offer to live once more WILLINGLY. So, if a spirit is OFFERED new life, and it willingly accepts, that is not a sin (though you should be cautious, still).
In fact, magick fits well. It can let you help others. Jesus used magick (but that is but a word), but he was part of God, and therefore had more power than any other human. Other men, whom were blessed by God, also had power beyond normal people, for God assisted them. Besides, many people have met angels, saints, and other beings like them using magick. God gave us this power, so it's OK to do both things, just make sure you do not use magick to do evil or assist demons (or anything that is generally hurtful, greedy, destructive, etc.).
sorry to say but bible(Gospel) is not the words of human but with the time it is changed by people. So, God can't be wrong. And Jesus wasn't magician he had powers blessed by God.
guys i am not talking on behalf of any religion but for answer to this please consult Holy Quran. As this book hasn't been changed from centuries and each word is same as before. You surely get answer.

Yes but how does one know what was written by god and what was changed by man? Many things in the scriptures have been switched and changed from original meanings.
Anyway Aquapilot, i am a Christian Methodist, and i practice magic. i attend church every Sunday and i have a magic altar at home (currently not set up). i use that altar in my magic, and spells are more concentrated prayers to god and Jesus. in my belief, it is gods will to accept or deny the outcome of my spell or prayer.
Do what feels right to you, regardless of the opinions of others.
but sadly, the term magick wasn't accepted in the christian teachings.. yes all of the prophets and apostles have performed magick but they do not like the term magick because it has always been associated with demons in their teachings (the term magick).. they see those men (doing magick) as just tools of god in performing miracles..
