As for electrokinesis, I frown upon most kinesis. If it is real, and scientifically proven as you say, I would like to see documented proof of extended studies with collected data, please.
In 2007 scientists (biologists) from the University of South Carolina (USA) did the study - observe the behavior of bacteria -Shewanella oneidensis.
as a result of the study, a biologist-Howard Harris made the discovery in living organisms, confirmation of the existence of electrokinesis.
Electrokinesis (and the other kinesis including for that matter) were originally conceived as a description for the powers of super heroes and super villains from comic books. They are means of describing these abilities in such manners as a full control over the elements from simple manipulation to full blown conjuring of these elements. Some thing that cannot be done. These aspects were then carried on into video/board games, books, movies, and even role-play. To assume that a full on kinesis can be done is looked down upon, as LokisDottir said. A manipulation of any element can be done, but in very minute of ways; and then not all elements can be manipulated no matter how minute it could be.
And RedMercury, I don't see how what you are showing as proof has any proof to your point.

On this site anything called a Kinesis is normaly said to be false because most of the time the person asking about kinesis is thinking about controling physical water/fire/dirt/etc. Ofcourse to control somthing physical is impossable and members of this site try to correct such thinking, and rightly so.
But I do not believe that means that people should just say that kinesis are impossable. You can control the energy of water/fire/dirt/ etc. It really just comes down to peoples definition of a kinesis.
I saw that too, butterfly, this guy could grab the negative and positive of a power box, with no ground, mind you.. and he could guide the power from a wall socket to come through, say, a computer power supply, and burn paper with the discharge from his finger! O.O

Red, please post a link to that study so we all may review the data and see it ourselves.
To me some of the kinesis are very real. Just not as "powerful" as most think. If people can manipulate energy; and practice at it enough why couldn't they manipulate energy enough in electricity and cause some kind of shock? Or do some other kind of minor kinesis? But ths guy on TV? I don't belive in that part, as it could have easily been a trick. That's what I think anyways.
