Godspouses(?)

frankly, i dont buy it. i just have a hard time believing that a god would be THAT invested in any one person. looking at it from a purely heathen standpoint, you can count the number of times a god shows up in the sagas on your fingers. and these guys were literally legendary people. not to mention nearly all of them are already married.
