You can follow deities from different pantheons, but it isn't generally recommended. It is especially not recommended if those two pantheons are from cultures that were at war with each other. For instance, it would not be recommended to follow both an Irish deity and a Viking deity since the two cultures we extremely hostile toward each other.
Generally it is better to work with deities from the same pantheon to avoid conflicts.
Thank you so much for this post! After trying the activity, I realized how little I could contribute to the Craft, compared to how much I wanted out of it. It was very eye-opening, and it's unfortunate that it's not one of the first things that pops up when you search beginner tips for witches.
so I am looking into Wicca and stuff, and I do agree with almost all if not all of the stuff you are saying. In one of the posts it says "Wiccans rarely, if not never, cast spells" (sorry it it is not the direct quote) so I was wondering if that is all Wiccans or not. Because personally I do al ot

Hi Antonio, There is no reason that you should not be casting spells if you are Wiccan. My point is that spell-casting is not the important part of Wicca. Wicca is the religion, and one of the beliefs of that religion is that magic works. Spell-casting is the witchcraft part of Wiccan magic, but not the central part of Wicca. Does that make sense?
Why not? Yes, it is possible to work with two different deities of two different pantheons. I know one user here, who works with Egyptian and Greek deities. I do not wish to disclose the user's name, as I feel I will be invading their privacy.
Hi Im New to this Teachings. Ive always knew there was something different about but always been held back. Ive explored all religions Christian, Mormon, Catholic, even Jehovah Witness. Never understood or felt I belonged nor did I feel like I learned anything that made sense. For me for Many Many Years Ive never Believed in God or Satan, heaven or hell. I believe in a Higher Power just not ones that some many different religions have written in a book in so many different ways.
But I befriended someone I never thought I would because we are so different in Age and just people in general. But somehow we kept getting drawn to each other. And Im not one to have a lot of friends everyone wants to be but for me the Drama in others life isnt what I want nor need. Im too old all that. So for The connection to be so strong and I could feel her when she was angry or sad. And somehow she knew when I was. I asked HOW? She said Sisters. Together We Unite. You were drawn to me she said. She gave me some crystals to hold 1 out of the 5 I could feel inside. She said its yours. I wear it around my neck now.
For me being Wiccan is a lifestyle a way I live my life Im still new and still learning. Its been a few months and I have done any spells or cast a circle yet cuz u are are right there is so much to learn before I do anything and everyday I learn something new. And when Im ready I will know right now I need to connect 100% with inner Spirit as well as the Goddess/Gods of the universe. My practices will mainly be for others Protections, Guiding. Ive yet to look up any spells for myself.
But thank you for sharing the Books I have so much to learn
As I just started my Tarot readings for Myself after connecting with my cards for 2 weeks.
Everyday Is a Learning and Growing experience. A Lifestyle, my Beliefs and I think it was past down from my Grandmother but have made that connection 100% yet. Soon..,
Thank you again

Hi PerfectlyMe, Welcome to the incredible journey that is Wicca. If there is anything I can help you with don't hesitate to message me or to post questions here in the Wicca Forum. If you have a question you can be pretty sure others will also want to hear the answers you get.
I've been drawn to become wiccan for the last year or so, I've bought books and I've done research but there are so many different paths Wicca that I have no idea where to start. how do you find the right Path?

There are actually only two paths in Wicca. The first and oldest is British Traditional Wicca which is based on the writings of Gerald Gardner. British Traditional Wicca (Gardnerian, Alexandrian, Central Valley, etc) all follow the teachings of Gardner. They are open to Initiates only and their teachings cannot be learned from books and websites, only from teaching and initiation into a BTW coven.
Everything else is what is called "Neo-Wicca" (New Wicca ) and is made up of bits and pieces of lore from many different sources.
If you are practicing on your own there is no reason to name what you are doing anything other than Wicca. It is your personal spiritual path and needs no other identification. If you decide at some point to become part of a coven, then when you are in circle with them, you practice the rituals and teachings of that particular group. In that case it is more important that the group feel like close family than that you have to pick a word to describe what it is you do.
