Honestly, Spell Casters serves its purpose with no priest or priestess, and it should stay that way. I feel no love for the fluff in it, but it allows anyone to gain council and post spells and articles, and it does this.
Whining about a coven you are not even a part of is not only pointless, it is wasteful of your time and energy. If you truly care about the coven's conditions, join it. Help out Katie, Linda, Percy and the other intelligent people who try to educate the fluff or run them off. Sitting here does no one any good. Get off the high horse and work like the rest of us do to make this a better site.
There are plenty of other covens in need of good or better leadership, help them out as a member or councilor. But don't complain about covens you don't work hard on and for. Don't put them down when you don't know the full situation.
there's a reason many join spell casters, you get to do what you want. i get how frustrating that can get, but if all you want to do is post spells and rituals you can. as well as, if you want to act like an actual council member, rank and delete/spam spells, help people, and clean up the forums you can as well. the downside to no structure of a priest and priestess, i think, is there's no one to just say 'delete'. instead, you wait for Pet to give the final word. not too bad, but it gives extra work for him. as well, with there forums being open, anyone can post and help.
spell casters isn't as bad of a coven as people make it out to be. yes there was a lot of issues in the past, and there still are some now, but the majority of the people in the coven are working to fix that. heck, they've got people in the coven from fluffy to adept, so they can teach, they can learn. it's Magical Beings Working Alone, only everyone is in the council. bad idea, i know, personally, i feel they should have a quiz or something before they're automatically placed in the council, but that's how the groups set up.
who were you hoping them get as priest and priestess anyway EvilMoon? while they are really busy, you know kts and lindacash420 are in spell casters? they are there to help people like everyone else, they may not be priest or priestess, but everyone's helping everyone else out. i find it very insulting for you to say 'it's all fluffy nonsense in there' when it's not. i was in spell casters for years, there's one or two, but like with the site forums, the fluffies are not encouraged, read their forums, there's forums people in the coven have started trying to figure out solutions to the problem with their A. spells and B. image. don't judge them all because of one or two people.
also, what violence? what arguments? whenever a spell or article is found that is dangerous [and there have been some] it's instantly reported to Pet. while there's no 'leader' people have decided to take on certain responsibilities in the group, again, read the forums. some people are in the group simply to delete spells that don't work. others are there to teach. while arguments can and do happen, every member has the ability to delete forums, and some do. when i was in spell casters, i took it upon myself to keep the forums clean/organized as well as the articles. please explain what 'arguments' 'violence' and 'etcetera' you're referring to, because honestly, i don't see it.
what account what that? how long ago? what did they say? [i understand you might not be able to repeat the last point but give a clean version like 'calling usuer123 racial things'] i've been a member of SoM for about 8 years, i've seen a lot, people come, people go, and things change.
well the problem right now isn't about a priest or priestess in the coven..the problem are the fluffs. but i guess that problem has reduced now. For the last 2 weeks i haven't met a fluff online in Spell Casters. So i guess, things are improving :)
I agree. I swear I saw a spell in there from a Dr. Strange comic book. I mean I believe in the power of words. And I believe that if you truly believe in what you're doing then the spell will "work", but c'mon! Who is going to use a Dr. Strange spell!?
