Reputation System.

The ranking System's a great way to get an idea of how knowledgable people are when your starting out. For example there are quite a few covens listed now and deciding which one would be most beneficial can be a bit hit and miss. However the ranking systems gives you a reasonable idea of how adept the high priest/ priestesses are.
Personally I wish there was a way to categorize the spells. Some are a little on the fluffy/ frivolous side.

I wish to make something very clear about those who can rank who have multiple accounts, because I myself am one.

I have only known of one instance of a person ranked as knowledgeable ranking their other accounts up to novice, and that person not only lost their knowledgeable ranking, but also lost their membership. It is not something any of the knowledgeable people do, and it is not something Pet allows. I have two accounts other than Kebs which are ranked at novice; Dannibird and Aneksi. I never ranked myself, but others ranked me. The same goes for Percy and Viss.

We do not rank ourselves, we get ranked. None of the multiple account knowledgeable members has more than one knowledgeable account (to my knowledge) so due to our showing ourselves as knowledgeable, we gain novice.

As for the fluff ranking, I have seen more unlisted rankings than fluff. There is about 85% unranked people to 15% fluff, and fluff is only ranked as such very rarely and in cases where it is obvious the person does not want to change. There's far more times people are ranked as beginners.

I can say, the thought of anyone being able to rank scares me. It is something that I seriously consider each time before I rank someone. Usually, I think,"Is this the right ranking? Are my feelings clouding my judgement?" I don't want to make poor judgements, so it mildly worries me if anyone can do it. Will they make a million accounts? What will they do?

I definitely agree with what Kebs said.

My honest opinion on the system is, if your not liked by the all mighty's with high ranks you get a low rank. I go up and down in the rank system all the time, just depends who i upset that day. Have a great day :D

I might sound like a noob for asking (I am still new-ish to the site), but how do you rank other users? Like I said, sorry for sounding like such a noob

Members marked knowledgeable and higher can mark ranks. Plus those members can only see the rank fluffy.

Someone has to rank you, Superman. Prove yourself.
