lol You kids crack me up. I personally go by witch because my in my practice a warlock is actually an oath breaker. But I can understand the Hollywood jab since it is obvious I am no Merlin. ;)

You would still be considered a Witch if you practice witchcraft.

The term "Warlock" comes from the Anglo-Saxon word "waerloga" meaning "oathbreaker". It is used by Hollywood, fantasy writers, and a few in it for the shock value, but it is not a term that is used to refer to oneself by any serious practitioners of witchcraft that I'm aware of.

The word "witch" comes from the Anglo-Saxon as well where a "wicca" was a male witch and a "wicce" was a female witch. So the same root for both male and female witches. Whether one is gender-queer is immaterial. One's body is either male or female and hence the name of "witch" still applies.

A true witch or wizard if you want to call them that would tell you that power is only an opinion of a person. A word. An ego word at that. Because no matter how many spells you know, how much umph you can put into a work there is always ALWAYS someone out there who can do it better and with more umph then you. We all have our skills and we all have things that we are good at that others might not be. So to say that one is more powerful then another in anything is only a figmant of our imagination.
