well i hope you did not get totally confused with what autumn moon said because not all Satanists believe that satan is not real and I do believe in hell. I believe that it is a place where satanists go to be with Father Satan for the rest of eternity to be in peace and to rule as the Gods we are. and if you are not a Satanist then it is a place where you go that your spirit is reincarnated for the rest of eternity or until you find the truth and come to a spiritual understanding of the truth (the beliefs of Satanism)
As said before me satanism is about living life to its fullest; satanists don't believe in heaven or hell. I myself am a levayan satanist, if any questions I'll be happy to answer via mail. The thing I have a concern about is the joyofsatan site. Iv heard some negative things about the woman who runs the site, and these things have come from other satanists and even former workers of that site. Just a heads up. Id say to read the satanic bible by anton lavey (I constantly forget how to spell his last name).
Sorry, *most* satanists don't believe in heaven or hell. But there are many types of satanism, just like there are many branches of many other religions.
The Satanic Bible is a great book for philosophical thought on Human behavior...No matter how one feels about the Religion or lack of one in that Faith,Anton was A genus.
Satanism at is core is a individual belief system. There are several online groups, but despite that you will most likely be a solitary practitioner. There is no one way, or right way to believe. Certain sects will have different opinions and will pretty much condemn all other opinions. Satanism however has no universal form of worship or practice, do what feels right to you and you will find your own path and way to be a satanist. The one thing that remains true within all sects of satanism is the advancement and growth of your independence and personal strength. So find your own way and let it grow and become a part of who you are and that is really what it means to be a satanist.
The two main kinds of satanism. One is LeVayan, which is more atheistic seeing Satan and demons as symbols. Theistic or spiritual satanists revere Satan and other demons as gods and view them as living entities. There is also Luciferanism which is more a kind of Paganism than Satanism in that practitioners often work entirely with other dark gods and not Satan. the Temple of Black Light is a well known Luciferan organization. There are a number of websites you can read about Theistic and LaVeyan Satanism. One highly controversial site is Joy of satan. While Joy of Satan has some good information on Theistic Satanism and working with dark gods, but I disapprove of some of what they preach and their use of hate speech.
