Thanks for that Ning know if people will follow them. I agree a lot of religions use drugs as part of their rituals, talking about that is appropriate. But not being in the chat room "smoking dope in the corner." It the correctness in which one uses the topic.

if spoken intelligiently and with reason and purpose, i believe that to speak of such things in a context of a magickal purpose is alright.

to say, "hey! i smoke pot, i wanna get high and summon a demon and then sleep with it" is not something we need....either for the reputation of witches or recreational users.

remember people, there is a difference between a pothead and a recreational user......its intelligience.

psychoactive drugs have been used for millenia's and across all cultures....should we silence and hide that part of our history because of the views of our society today? the same society that says magick isnt real?

Tobbacco is also a drug. I agree with Luzifer. The use of smoking herbs is common in a lot of shamanic regions. I believe it is alright to talk about them in a magickal sense. For example, Shem Hamp Horash is used by some shaman to deepen their meditations. Kin Nic Kin Nic is an herbal blend that helps to train shaman in divination and prophectic visions. There are more of course, and most are legally used. Using and talking about it for these purposes, to me, seems alright.

It should be ok to talk about them so more and more people are aware of how dangerous they are and the effects. Hugs not drugs every one. There are other ways to get high, naturally, legally and safely but that is one's choice. I'm talking about adrenaline on roller coasters or from a dance performance. Or there are endorphines in chocolate peoples. Whoop!

So, yes. This kind of talk should be ok but as long as it is factual, true, objective and NOT endorsing, buying, or selling.
