well if its a compulsion.....possibly an addiction.....you casting a spell to make him speak truth would be like casting a spell trying to make a smoker quit when they dont want to.

be as open and accept all his decisions...even the stupid ones....dont get too mad when he does something wrong or stupid....im not saying to let him walk all over you....but once he realizes there is no need to lie....because speaking as one who lies too often, the number 1 reason for lieing is to avoid consequences.

if you dont give him those consequences.....he wont lie.

of course, what is he doing that he has to lie to you about?

is he cheating on you?
drugs?
smoking?

what is he doing that would anger you if you found out.....ask yourself if getting angry over it is worth it.

i wouldnt reccommend using magick on this one....but then again, i dont know all the circumstances.

try this

when he is sleeping......AP find his body, delve into his mind. and cast the spell you choose. this might make it a bit more effective.

Tankgirl I very much like your spell to aid in scrying for the truth. I am aware of similiar uses for bones. Just a note to anyone who would want to try it. When cleaning your bones make sure to cleanse them by cleaning them naturaly. One of the best ways to do this is by hanging them in a tree to let the birds pick them clean. If you can't do this earth and worms in a pot will do.

I am not 100% sure if this will work but I designed it for this kind of occasion additions may be added.

"Don't come near but don't go far
For I am a servant of a star
Tend to hurt what you may lack
but selfless pain will turn you back"
