Yeah I'm bullied ALL the time over something. It's hard to hide something like that with the news spreading like wildfire. I can't tell my mom since she's the kind to beat me for it. Plus with bullying she just says that Jesus was bullied too. I'm not sure how to stand my ground :(
I was bullied and even beat up in school. Hold your head high and tune it out. Best way to stand your ground is not be bullied. Do not let it phase you. If it becomes physical, file charges against the agressors and the school for not protecting you rights. Thats what I did and you can too. When people criticized me I either ignored it or campaigned against it to the school board. They gave the christian prayer club a room to use during lunch but refused to allow satanist one and I fought it until satanist ( only two ) at my school also had a classroom or noone did. The satanist got a classroom then the schoolboard banned all religious symbology and practice at school to counter my win. One person can make a difference. :-)
Of course if you are in a private christian school it is more difficult but the law still says school must protect all students, including from bullying. Period.
I used to be bullied and it is not fun. If you're a witch, they're going to accuse you of being a satanist already and a lot of people incorrectly mistake a regular pentagram or pentacle for a satanic symbol. If you are a satanist, unless you're going down a self destructive path, they shouldn't care. And if they're not your friends they shouldn't care period. Do try to stick up for yourself but also kind if ignore them and don't let it bother you, even if they're really offensive. It may be hard, but you need to stay strong. If you're in America, your religious rights should be protected under the constitution. I would look up if your religion is recognized by the government and military as a religion and if it is, use that info if you have to take it up against the school board or in court. And don't so anything rash or stupid. And having a group of loyal friends inside school is probably the best thing if you're a victim of bullying. There is power in numbers and bullies normally don't pick on kids who have a ton of friends around them. Stay strong and blessed be~
Unfortunately ignorance is often something that cannot be reasoned with. It is always easiest to discriminate, hate, and be little others. It is also the weakest. Those who do are weak and are so afraid to do what's right that they cower and join the crowd just to feel as if they actually fit in when hardly any of them care about anyone other than themselves. Ravens advice is the best show of maturity and strength that there is, to smile back at the people who have wronged you instantly raises you above them. It shows that what they do and say means nothing and you know it because you're wiser and more mature. The sad truth is that it will likely be years before paganism can gain acceptance and dispel its discrimination, but it starts with people like you. To rise above this situation, to ignore and smile at them, it reflects on you and the truth that pagans are not something that should be hated and feared. I will not lie to you and say it will be easy, but only where the challenges are great can strength be forged. There are many who share your beliefs and pain and many on this site. You are not alone and if you ever need a friend you can find many here. Feel free to message me if you ever feel alone or hurt. I wish you all the blessings and luck I can.
I do agree that you should show maturity and smiling back and acting like nothing's bothering you is a good idea. Don't let them see that they hurt you, that's just what they want and will give them more reason to do it even more. Just acting like you're okay and smiling back is probably best. Also, a lot of people fear what they don't know and refuse to learn, even if they should learn just to see if their fears are reasonable or justified. Good luck and don't stoop to their level.
