Demons are not evil. Some are ancient gods and goddesses demonized so Christians wouldn't worship them. The word demon originated from the word daimon. It wasn't until a few centuries ago that the word demon came to be. Some daimons were gods.
Demons never been a god for a time . Demos are like servitors of lucifer

"Is guardian demon really a thing now....really haven't kept up with contemporary spirituality."
Yep, I know. In my opinion its a new way for reverse Christians to be rebellious. I believe Joy of Satan thought it up. On their site the high priestess discusses how she learned of guardian demons through a Ouija board. That's not too far from how to join the army of hell and how demons are nephilim, Egyptian gods and ancient extra terrestials all at the same time. It's an entertaining read.
Very informative raven , but im christiamd and our god care to belive him but i just wont believe in one . I like spirits but never sense them yet..

Daemon were never gods. Please stop getting your information from Satanist websites and begin looking up historical fact. Daemon were at best demigods. They were nothing more than spirits. It was Greek. It was said that Zeus turned the golden people into daemon. Heroes became daemon. Venerated ancestors of various kinds became daemon. Nature spirits could also be considered daemon. Theoi is the Greek word for gods. That's why the best Greek mythology website on the net is named after it.
The Daimonion (a completely separate thing) originated from Socrates and guided him. It was a sign or rather more like a messenger. He says:
"I have a divine sign [daimonion] from the god which began when I was a child. It is a voice, and whenever it speaks it turns me away from something I am about to do, but it never turns me towards anything. This is what has prevented me from taking part in public affairs, and I think it was quite right to prevent me. Be sure, gentlemen of the jury, I should have died long ago otherwise."
Of course, then he was sentenced to an absolutely horrid death. So to Socrates it was not someone who told him what to do but guided him away from bad choices. That's the difference with divinity. Definitely something I have even experienced. It's usually the liars that try to tell you what to do. That should be a red flag right there that something isn't right.
Going on
Demon were what Latin speakers referred to as "of evil". Many pagan gods were demonized by Judaism and Christianity. But that doesn't make them demons, it makes them gods. I would definitely think they would be quite insulted to be referred to as the derogatory term they were given by their competition.
But the idea of making a god of your enemy into an enemy of your god was quite normal throughout ancient history. There is one particular religious sect that believed an evil Babylonian king wrote the Torah. Another believed the peacock god/angel/king wrote the Torah and is the god of Judaism. These beliefs just aren't very well known because they never became as popular. Point is, religions used to mud sling a lot. And the biggest insult to their neighbors religion was to trample their deity's honor.

OneSorcerer the above post wasn't toward you. I respect your beliefs. :)
It sounds like a nervous or stress pain
Back of neck is a very common place for it, and if it could either shooting up pain, pulsing.
Or pain that keeps on for a while, until you relax
(Best to do is not force your neck, but relax, and the pain will pass)
