I always was of the mind that people were not always born with the most desirable hand of cards. A person may be poor , with little opportunity for further education , but it can be powered through and still become successful.
A person may feel like "a male in a female body" or vice-versa but it can be powered through till the person is comfortable in his own skin. To me , it is all about the state of mind.
@akashik
How about, it's their own choice? they don't have to 'accept' anything. The technology is there to do it so why not, it is their own choice. A choice you may not understand.
That was the word I think I was looking for. That was totally what I meant! Thanks!
@Brysing and PinkPepsi
Yes , this is something I don't understand. I doubt anyone can truly understand until they are truly in the shoes of these people themselves. But , I am indeed trying to.
How would one know it is not simply just a state of mind anyway? Pretty much everything can be tied back there! I looked it up for awhile on various sites so my response took awhile longer but it is stated that Psychological Treatments are usually ineffective. Keyword Usually . So , does that not support my 'State of Mind" Theory?
The technology is there yes, but it is not perfect either. A born male can never give birth to a child for example , regardless of whichever operations they utilize. Not to mention that there is a fair amount of discrimination against these individuals.
I personally do not mind or discriminate against such individuals , if that was the impression that was given in my postings , but it is just that I do not truly understand this choice.

Perhaps this is not really the site for this discussion.But there are so many youngsters on the site asking about sexuality that they deserve an explanation. So here goes!
At a young age we are all bi-sexual. Boys have only boy friends,girls have only girl friends.Sometimes this can go on throughout life. Most men will have some men friends; most women will have some women friends. The difference comes in the sexual "preference". Homosexual,Bi-sexual,and everything in between!
But sexual preference is not Transgender! A Transgender does not have a choice! He/she was born in the wrong body.
It is a matter of Legality. The Laws of most countries are made for Male and Female. The Laws of some countries are changing to allow a "third sex";unfortunately,very few! England was the first, in the case of April Ashley.
April has helped thousands of Transgenders.She has been Honoured by The Queen for her work. The Laws of England were changed forever by this wonderful lady!
Also if someone is "turning" from a boy to girl, they use she/her pronouns unless otherwise stated. Please don't be disrespectful and use the wrong pronouns. :)
