Brysing tho your facts are founded in older practices of science you might want to look up some new nasa information . in that NASA has started and is in the process of building a machine to attempt terraforming mars because if they can succeed it is the belief mars can substane human life if they can oxygenate the atmosphere. Yes this proves your base theory that it does not currently sustain us .

My point was if we are able to terraforming a planet that does not meet your stated requirements for life then it is possible that outside our telescope range it may have already naturally occurred so other life could be in existence .now do I know nope do I really care not really . was just stating the fact that a possibility remains. In all honesty the most likely aliens we will ever come across are bacteria or archea on other planets, the ability to adapt to more than that is rare and it would be even more rare for them to be flying around, close enough for us to be able to see them.
