Thank you for the warning and thank you that the members have been reported! It's scary that someone would scam another like that.

Always use common sense safety measures on this site and others. Do not give out personal information and do not send money to other members. If a member feels they are being the target of a scam they should save the original mail and alert the administrator or one of the site moderators.

If someone receives such a contact here on Spells of Magic here is what to do.

If you get a message in your e-mail:

• 1. Click on the "Ignore" button beneath the e-mail. This will block any further contacts.

1. Save the e-mail in your "Default" folder
2. . Send an e-mail to Petrarca, the Site Administrator, and tell him about the e-mail. He'll take a look and then take the necessary actions.

• If you see a bunch of advertisements in the Forums from someone claiming to be a spell caster, especially if they contain an e-mail address, then report it to any of the Moderators and we'll fix it.

Is there anyway to give me their user? Also make sure you report them or tell a mod it will help you!

Block all their mail, save them report it to Petrarca so he can take the proper measures to remove them and if it continues on report it to a moderator so they to will be aware if you see it anywhere in the site forums

I'm not allowed to post their usernames in the forums :(

But if it makes you feel any better they have been dealt with,

I realise that this was a lot of trouble to go to just to catch one scammer when I'm sure there are 100s on this site, but if I saved just one person from being ripped off then I'm happy

I'm very new here and it would help me to know who these people are so if they try to intimidate me. I will know who they are . Thankyou
