Well when it happened to me i saw its aura first and it noticed that i saw.it so it went behind me disappeared and i know it was angry and it whispered my name and touched my shoulder gently.
I felt negative.
If you were near sleep, either approaching or waking, or had awoken prematurely, it very well could be exploding head syndrome. Basically it is your brain firing off dream-like signals. It causes audio hallucinations, though it is in no way a mental illness.
Exploding head syndrome is in no way uncommon, and has been studied thoroughly. Some people hear their name by familiar or unfamiliar voices; some people hear loud noises such as explosions (hence the name); some people hear quieter sounds.
It is a very similar phenomenon to sleep paralysis ans hypnagogic visual hallucinations.
Such hallucinations are possible, though less common, with a waking mind. They are not frequent, but known. Moreoften they occur when the brain is seeking more stimuli and not getting it. The brain is known to fabricate input on a constant basis.
But if you woild rather jump to conclusions and believe every function of your brain is a demon, your belief is your choice.
well you should always rule out the logical before turning to the spiritual, but since mental illness is off the list it could be a spiritual presence. it could be a spirit or perhaps a demon, but it could also be a deity who has been trying to speak with you but is losing patience. the next time year hear the voice, try talking with it, meditate, or try a pendulum to communicate. just keep an open mind and be aware of your surroundings [you might want to keep a journal handy to write down anything to see, hear, and/or feel]
I had that exact thing happen to me many years ago. I was in a convenience store, heard my name so loudly that I turned around to see the person calling to me, and there was no one there, but I believe I was just not paying attention to my environment and matrixing the noises around me. Everyone is correct though. We should always look for a rational explanation before assuming that it is a paranormal event. And also keep in mind that if it was a spirit trying to get your attention, it may have only sounded aggressive because it was trying to be loud enough and exert enough energy to be heard. I completely agree with Nekoshema's advice to follow up with some sort of attempted communication and/or meditation and to keep a journal.
Prsona, Ive not jump to any conclusions if I had I would not have posted here in this forum asking for opinions I wouldve just went about my business believing what I choose to believe. With that being said I appreciate you taking the time to give information on a subject Ive never heard of therefore would not have considered as a possibility.
Nekoshema thank you for the advice. Meditation has always been very difficult for me but I would definitely be willing to try that route if it will bring me some answers. As Ive stated I have had instances of spirits contacting me in the past (just more subtly.) I really feel as tho that is what happened, its a gut feeling I dont really know how else to describe it.
Sometimes i often have spirits contact me by calling my name in a loud voice. sometimes the voice seems a bit reprimanding like i should listen to it. it's often hard to tell if it is bad or good, but i always have the hairs on my arms tingling and feel my breath catch.
Friend8Ship6 I having this nagging feeling inside of me since this happened. I feel very anxious and distracted like Im supposed to be doing something and because Im not I dont feel right. I just dont know what the something is. I know I have to sit down and focus on this and delve deeper. I just havent had the time.
Has this happened to you more than once? I think I would be important to keep a journal to document the event/s to see if there is a pattern to them. I think the uneasy feeling that you need to do something could be that the spirit/s could be telling you that you need to act on something. Also I find that guided meditations can be easier than just sitting and meditating. the guided meditations help you into a relaxed state and you follow the words as they flow into your ears. There are a couple guided meditations on youtube.
