you can bring up spells,paganism,etc.. in school the restriction blocking is not allowed to be put on something like that enless cussing bad music etc. in your town you have a tech centet if you pull up something like that and leave it up for 10-15 min the tech center has a scanning that shows all sites visited and will come and take the pc away and sometimes youll get questioned just dont leave witchcraft up for 10-15 min and youll be fine.
Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are taught because they have left impact on history and people. Paganism did not. And I don't know of any form of paganism that had survived to these days. By X century all of Europe was converted. No paganism survives in its original shape today, so there is nothing to teach. We can only assume how it was really like. And assuming does not belong in school.
I am absolutely against religion of any kind in schools, except in history class.
Just for the note, where I live there is no islam or judaism or buddhism in schools. Only Ortodox Christianity, and it says nothing of how it came to be. It all assumes that there was nothing before it.
in my school they only teach "major" religions.i have asked plenty of times why they dont teach the other religions and my teacher replied "satanism,wicca and paganism are not religions,they are little groups of people who dont know what they belive in" naturally,i was outraged at this so i complained but everyone seems to think the same,i think it is no way at all fair but i have to stand it because i have been threatend to be put in hour detetions for saying this stuff but ive been in about 6 of them for voicing my poinions.i get pushed around for being wiccan but i can stand it...=]

Threatening of someone on religious basis is a terrible thing, and it breaks the law (don't you guys have an ammandment that says that everyone has the right to religious freedom?) and you have a right to be protected.
I'll be honest. American kids are discriminated for religious practices in school for 2 reasons.
1. They are confident that you do not know your rights. And frankly, if you are sitting in detention and did not break any rules such as cussing or...throwing something while expressing your religious opinions..you don't know them.
2. You don't have the support of your parents. Kid's can only do so much. Parents can do a heck of a lot more.
I was lucky enough to have an understanding mother, so when I stood up against the unfairness I saw in my very liberal high school....I had back up if you know what hit the fan. Yes, it labeled me a trouble maker when I told my principal that if he wanted a girl to take off her pentacle because it was offensive that I wanted every cross removed from students for the same reason, but my point was seen. Maybe not liked, but I knew my rights and the law...and I knew that you cannot discriminate a student in a public school for sex, creed, sexual orientation, ect.
Just remember, always argue in an intellegent manner, and if you are going to fight for tolerance, fight for those who speak out against you or do not agree with you as well.
I have a friend who I have known since the 3rd grade. When she first found out about my beliefs, though she loved me, she wasn't pleased. She was at the time a die hard Baptist.
Instead of telling her she was wrong and having a retarded arguement with her, I asked her very simply...If god loves everyone and let's us make our own mistakes...why should you do any less?
Sure, it was slightly insulting to call my way of life a mistake...but I spoke to her in terms she could understand.
Which is far different than many of the arguements I have seen/heard from some of the younger crowds.
In order to have your point seen, in my personal opinion, I think you need to not only understand your beliefs fully, but the person you are discussing with so you can help them relate better. Of course it doesn't always work, but its worth a shot lol
it is realy unfair though,people just dont seem to understand my belifs,my parents just think im being stupid or sumthing,my friends mum is pagan and she understands me but thats the only one,my school noyl teaches "mainstream religions" its pathetic,i was sent to counciling once cause i said i was wiccan...pathetic

I wanted to share the definition of "cult"
so here it is;
1: formal religious veneration: worship.
2: a system of religious beliefs and ritual; also: its body of adherents.
3:a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious; also: its body of adherents.
4: a system for the cure of disease based on dogma set forth by its promulgator .
5a: great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (as a film or book); especially: such devotion regarded as a literary or intellectual fad.
b: the object of such devotion.
c: a usually small group of people characterized by such devotion.
I don't consider religions in general to be cults,
I've always only used the word "cult"
to describe those groups that are more negative/self-centered.
For example;
a 'cult' might require
you pay them so much cash or do certain tasks for them,
not just ask for donations or volunteers.
A 'cult' might try to guilt you into doing certain things,
trick you into saying certain things,
or enforce that you treat other people a certain negative way.
Cults are bad,
religions are good,
that's not how it may be officially,
but that is how I like to categorize it. :)
I have two things to say about the main topic now.
One: Respond accordingly.
Nobody has the right to take away your rights,
even the police have to grant certain rights
when arresting a criminal.
Children are not criminals
and losing freedom of religion is not a court punishment.
When I was in school
and I was told Christianity wasn't accepted there,
I took a Bible to every class and read it
while holding the book in such a way
where all could see what I was reading.
As Luzifer said,

Two: Keep in mind that America was made by Christians.
In spite of what so many want to claim and believe,
this is, in fact, a Christian country.
It was at birth and it still is today.
The only reason there are more non-Christians
then there were so many years ago
is because there was a smaller population so many years ago.
Compared to back then,
we also have more Christians then we used to have
so many years ago.
Point is that it makes sense
that Christian schools would be more common.
It has more followers,
a higher number of potential students,
and therefore more funding then other religious branches.
Get a few thousand people demanding Pagan schools
all within one state,
and I would predict that within five-ten years
you'll have your Pagan school.
At least one of them.
And that one,
if successful,
could be the start of many more.
