Modern Magick would be a great starting place and will keep you occupied for months if not years alone. The first few lessons are meant to be learned over the course of a month and therefore you will have plenty of time to save up and buy the other two.

I would get the farrar one before Ille's book. (Both are great).

Kraig's book would also be useful in a physical copy.

I've tried it Lark, several times. But every site suggests it to buy! None of the sites have their pdf files available for free downloading!! But I've seen their review and read their demo version. By introspecting those two, I found out that "Spells and how they work" book is better than the Illes' book. Illes' book is too much descriptive in potions!! Have ya any other recommendations Lark??

Anything by Christopher Penczak is pure gold, but I especially like his three books of a sort of "trio," if you will:
#1: The Witch's Shield: Protection Magick and Psychic Self-Defense
#2: The Witch's Heart: The Magick of Perfect Love and Perfect Trust
#3: The Witch's Coin: Prosperity and Money Magick

I, too, read The Outer Temple of Witchcraft: Circles, Spells, and Rituals, and as a matter of fact, because it's so big, I'm actually still reading it. haha But I really treasure it for how much information and knowledge is packed into it.

I also read and loved his book Instant Magick: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Spellcraft. Just as the subtitle suggests, it takes the ancient wisdom and practice of traditional Witchcraft and applies those respective lessons and then some to a modern way of thinking about casting spells and working Magick in our daily lives and on the go. It's truly a must-have staple for every dedicated Witch's bookshelf. I plan to reread it soon, of course after I finish OTOW first. lol
