I so agree with Healer (I think she is very wise and love her posts).

I wonder if these new phones are really a good or bad thing. Yes if kids are stuck they can call home quickly but what about when they video fights etc?/ There are so many bad things that seem to be associated with them - text speak being one as teachers are having a hard time trying to get the kids to use proper english.

I will admit it, I used to talk like that all the time, but then one day something happened. I was looking down at a message I wrote for quite a while when I said to myself, "Well that just looks plain stupid, no wonder nobody's been takin' me seriously, what with me talkin' like that and all." And so I started using capital letters, periods, commas (commas are my best friend), and just about everything else needed for fairly good grammar. I personally can't stand text speak anymore, gives me a headache.

Shinyrust... you are doomed to commit run ons and comma splices..-_- I think that is how you say it...

Yes, I know, but I just love commas too much, they're awesome.

Then slow down and learn to spell - it really isn't that hard. One way to do this is to look up a new word every day from a dictionary and learn it.

I think there wasa survey some where (can't think right now) that grammer skills on act were down that's at least in the state of mn.
