Darkness spells?

It all depends on what you mean by "Darkness"

both dark energy and shadows

1) vampires aren't affected in any way by garlic. That's just a myth

2) you can't control dark powers with a simple spell, in fact I highly recommend you not trying to control the darker powers; you don't control the energies, they control you.

Be careful with the dark, humans are afraid of it for a reason

And only humans would want the power of shadow for themselves.
The affects of it can be negative, not only to the target of a spell, but to the caster aswell.
