Ou Lithium i love your theory..and its so true...but what IF...there ARE underground/water labs full with what we call mythical creatures, experimented on and such...we'll never know for sure... But the point is mermaids anre not real...here on Earth-coma.
I do believe that magic cannot do absolutely everything as well, and it do bothers me that people on this site tend to make silly, unrealistic spells; not taking magic seriously. I do however, believe in the possibility of mermaids because 90-95% of the ocean is still unexplored; youd be mad to not be open minded toward this life form.
I do believe no spell when turn you into one, but there is the possibility that they are there. I am a water witch, so I am very optimistic towards the creatures...
xx
mermaid are real, but they do not exist phsically i can say there spirit or whatever name you will like to call them,a friend of mine summon one in white cloth on wall with command words from (mallam)belief it or not they exist.if you are here in my country there many pleases i could take you and experience the reality of mermaid.
This is going to sound insane.... but I have a story on the matter. I was about twelve, and I was swimming in some pretty rough waters. A huge wave knocked me under the water, and I got caught in the under toe. I was so scared, I thought I was going to drown. I still remember screaming in my mind that I was going to drown. Right after I thought that, I felt a strong grip grab me around my waist. I look down....and saw a tail. Not a dolphin tail, this one was green, and I could see scales shimmering in the light. I was a little out of it, but even before I could breathe again, I tried to rationalize it. I couldn't give it much thought, because then my head came bursting out of the water. I looked around for the person who saved me to thank them, figuring the tail was a trick of the light, but no one was around me. There were a couple of people, but they were playing with their children on the shore. I was still skeptic by the time I left that day, but just in case, I whispered a quiet "thank you" before I left the ocean. I remember seeing a mermaid when I was 7 too. I thought I imagined it, or that I saw some pretty water along with a clump of seaweed (that time I saw a face, hair, and tail. Or so I thought.) PS, my eyes were open both times because when waves knock you under like that, your eyes open and can stay open in the salt water because you're in shock from being knocked under the water so quickly. Proven fact.
Animal Planet said to their fans after a bunch of questions and what not that the "documentary" and the one before that one was a "mockumentary", fake documentaries.

In all aspects of this world, I believe you cannot change your physical body into whatever creature you desire. However, as once stated before me, our oceans are the most unexplored place we have. Until our seas are fully explored (which won't be in my lifetime) then you cannot say that they don't exist or never have. Yes, sailormen could've been dehydrated and delusional, but as also said before me; there is some truth to every myth. They derived from somewhere and something. Our Gods and Goddesses derived from somewhere as well, and we believe in them.
I think mermaids are real we just can't see them just like ghosts, vampires, wearwolves fairys and yes witches. If witches are real then thay must be too
