Reputation

I don't understand this "ranking" at all! I am ranked as knowledgeable, but I have never ranked anybody on this site. Nor have I ever been asked to. I don't really know how writes the rankings; but I am not one of them.

Members ranked 'knowledgeable' like yourself can click on other member's profile at your leisure and 'rate' them based on reputation. It is not a request to be ranked, just that if you feel people should be ranked higher or lower you do it. :)

Stop moaning! Instead of moaning about a low rank, post more and show your intellect in the chat and forums and then maybe people will rank you up. I personally dont care about the knowledge system and judge people on how knowledgeable I see them, not what some rank sees them. And I hope many people do the same.

Whining and caring about it just proves immaturity and maybe even a little desire for status.

But on the other hand, yes I do agree that it is just a ego-booster for some and not a completely fair system. However just carry on with your life and dont care about something if you dont like it.

I know right?And what if you've just got here but you've been studying the craft for as long as you can remember? I think they should create a test to determine our reputation instead.

But I am active in forums, help people (mostly in live chat than in forums) but still no rank.

Helping people and dispensing advice does not necessarily qualify as providing wise advice or offering good help.

I've seen a great deal of people on this site who love to offer advice and are only barely aware of what they are talking about.

If you're worried about the ranking system, you're probably doing something wrong. Do what you do, be the best person you can be, and the rest falls into place.

Wait, so if you have a higher reputation do you have more privliges?

Please stop moaning . the purpose of the ranking system is to show people who are knowledgable and who are not. we all know the ranking system is not accurate. the best way to get your ranking up is.

• Posting on the forum on a dialy basis.
• answering peoples questions on the forum.
• Writing post giving other people knowlege.
• participate in the public chatter.

They are the main things. so please be patient before your rank goes up.

Magick, there isn't a point in posting on this topic. It has been dead and over with for several months now. Posting on this now, after all of this, is simply aggravating the issues of the past.

Ranks are ranks, everyone knows that and accepts it at this point. Leave it alone, as it doesn't need to be added to again.
