That it would, and I agree. I know I forgot to list a few things, but I was half asleep when I did it. Just imagine tho if we actually did have a group like that. It would be near perfection. We could read those who oppose us, combine our powers for a greater picture, and when someone falls weak, we will know it and could fix it. It would be a site to behold.
I am an empath... It is hard to control our gift sometimes... Many empaths who haven't learn the way to do it consider it as a curse... The truth is that it can be very useful because emotions never lie... It's important for me to help people so I m glad I am an empath. And what I can say being an empath is that a person's soul it's still a big mystery to me no matter how much I can get from it.... knowledge is a divine gift... but sometimes when it comes to the majorty of the heart and soul it just signifies nothing.
To david, I personally dont think that having a coven full of immature empathy's would be good, and even with a full group of mature ones i dont think it would be neaar perfection, because you also must remember if what you say is true, you will feel other things aswell, and they are human aswell, greed, power would all go to everyone , one-by-one, if you had the ability to do anything to anyone in the world what would you do with it? Cause even me where i try to help everyone daily i would even get tainted with that. And where as everyone has flaws to say that this coven would be the best would become a huge mistake if used wrong. This is just my opinion.
Hello, I too am a fellow empath. I have had the ability to do so since I was young. I was gifted to see Auras which has allowed me to learn more of magick and the ability to feel what others do.
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but I can tell you of my experiences. I remember my first one, when I was sitting close to a friend. She was hiding something that no one else knew of. She hid it and no one noticed except me. One day, I pulled her to the side and asked her to tell me what was wrong. I found out that I was right and someone very troublesome was bothering her.
I always get a chill when someone I am close to is hurting in some way.

I can generally feel the emotions of others, though not always very specifically,
I cannot absorb pain, but when people say they are experiencing pain or discomfort, I often know whereof is before they say, due to my feeling it.
It has been said by a few that I have a healing and calming touch/persona.
I cannot really read people, though there have been a few occasions where I have been able to.
Occasionally I can read people's attentions.
Very wise words wolf and koi. I agree, it could be a disaster, but a great strength if used properly. It would be a difficult task by no means, but if one was trained well enough in empathy, they can identify ones emotion and where it is comin from, so it would be quite easy to spot a bad seed. But, as wolf said, the soul is a hard thing to learn and knowledge only goes so far.
Hello David.. and everyone else here. Well, to be honest I'm not quite sure I'm an empath. See, I can feel other peoples emotions to the point where I can't stand next to someone stressed, without feeling stressed myself and not knowing why. this can extend to being able to sense when someone has smoked, or cried.. etc. It's something that I can't really turn off, and after a while, it wears me out. .. even if i could turn this ability.. " off" I'm not sure if it would affect my tarot card reading...
Far as I know though, this can't extend to me being able to absorb other people's pains, and thus heal them. wish it did though..
I can however, easily read other people;(who they really are, what they want ) including those who i havent known for very long. Does that make me an empath? not sure, but.. Since I seem to coincide with many of these abilities, thought I'd go ahead and reply to this thread. .. and if im not an empath, i am dearly sorry for wasting anyones time. thank you. ^^

Ever since I was little, I could sense others feelings.
I can tell if someone is lying to me by just looking into his or her eyes.
Oh and also I have this "ability" that makes most animals be friendly towards me.
