Re: Are all male witches gay? By: Animerox360 / Novice

I think "all" is too absolute...I've met some straight wiccan/witch guys on this site before. I don't really think sexuality has anything to do with magic though...
I'm into herbalism, divination, and clerical healing. I am not gay in any way.
Being gay, lesbian, or bisexual is not a crime. Against God or human law.
The same thing with polygamy, many Romans around the time of Jesus Christ were sexually aroused by half-breeds such as minotaurs and the time with more than one woman... or man.
Oh, and it's not just men who can practice polygamy. There IS such a thing as a wife with more than one husband.
here is an easy answer to your question..read mechantamis' post..it totally makes me agree..oh and the public shouldn't be the body that decides for you! #views
Firstly, I'm not keen on how you've lumped 'wiccans/witches' together, as pretty much everyone here will be aware these terms are not interchangeable, that topic has been argued to death and I'm not going to waste my life rehashing it here.
While the statement is clearly false (there are very few absolutes when it comes to people's behaviors) there does seem to be an above average number of individuals identifying as homosexual in the occult community. Of course we can only speculate why this might be, but I imagine (based on discussions with others and my own personal experience) that it has a lot to do with the accepting nature of many pagan religions with regards to homosexuality. As we are all well aware, most of the dominant religions take a dim view of homosexuality, pagan religion provides an alternative that some choose to embrace.
As for those deriding the OP, perhaps you should take a moment to re-read the post, it clearly explains that the OP disagrees with this stereotype.
I am actually a gay male and consider myself to be a witch, for no other reason than this is what I strongly believe is the path I was born to follow reading some of the comments on this post such as against gay marriage ect, I feel very disappointed that a member of SOM could say such an offensive thing, everyone's entitled to there own opinion and beliefs of course, however it wasn't something I expected to find on here I consider us all to be members of one big family if you like, and I don't believe people should see another person as gay straight black white fat thin for we are all the same inside and that's what's most important blessed be
A gay male witch is a warlock. It's actually the meaning of being a warlock. Some might disagree but it's true. No not every male who performs withcraft is gay but every male gay that performs witchcraft is a warlock.
