This shadow being or spirit might be trying to influence you or something; I'm not sure if that's the right word. I had one in my house once, and it just kept pestering me. It only left me alone when I was feeling peaceful or not having any bad feelings or thoughts. It didn't follow me outside, either... I tried talking to it just a little bit and it stopped following me. It's still somewhere in woods in my backyard, I'm pretty sure.
So this manevolent entity is a poltergiest if it is hucking stuff at you. A poltergiest is the banding together of more than one angry spirit, one of which was likely a devil worshiper i.e. The scratches from a demonic presence that likely attached itself to one of the spirits when it was alive. Is that what you wanted to know? That being said, i would like to give my opinion. Not doing anything wont help you. These spirits want to dominate you and the longer you let them hang around, the more likely of a chance that something bad will happen because if you are dealing with the spirit of someone who never intended to move on after death then you have 3 choices the way i see it. 1. Control it. ( i dont reccomend that) 2. Let it control you (not much of a choice) 3. Get rid of it.
Barbie I know it was a poltergeist. I brought it up because my sister claims to have seen the shadow person at this same house. Clear and close up. I know a fair amount about it, at least what it wants and how to, at least temporarily, get rid of it. I've not told her anything about the shadow person I saw, or anyone for that matter, before she started seeing it. So she couldn't, even if she would, be making it up. I'm trying to understand just what the spirit IS. Trying to I.D. it really.
Curing some fear and negative energy starts in the mind so adding herbs that instill protection and purity and burning sage doing a smudging and asking its name shows personal power and weakens the negative flow naturally.

I know about sage, energy manipulation, and multiple other things that are all, as of right now, irrelevant. I just want to know if anyone knows what spirit, not type of spirit. I'm dealing with. If not i'll just figure it out.

Not sure why this got dragged back out afer so long. Sounds like a thoughtform to me. Regardless of what it is I would suggest looking into a banishment, or binding if it was/is causing you harm.
Alright well from what I've learned of Shadow people is that they are extremely attracted to negative energies, they feed off it to get their power. The more you put out, the stronger hold they have on you. They seem to like Sadness and anger the most from what I've seen. But also really like fear, which is why I used to call them "Fear eaters." They usually don't like to be seen, so they stay in the shadows most of the time but like to play games by showing up in the corner of your eye and disappearing when you turn to look. I've found they travel in packs, and the more bad energy you have around the more of them come around. They really don't like positive energy at all, like happiness and love - they hate love.
Best ways to get rid of them is purifying the area, protecting the area, cleansing yourself (most important, the other things won't really matter if you don't get rid of negative energies within yourself first), and burning incense seems to help as well.
The claw marks are rather frightening, I remember getting those, now I usually just wake up with weird bruises I don't know where they came from.
