Why do you think that this age of enlightenment will happen in 2012? From what you (2396022) have said I gather that you are basing your theory off the mayan calendar's end. However if this is the case then it should be noted that the calendar was apperntly misread and doesn't actualy end for another 50 to 100 years from now. Also just because it ends doesnt necessarily mean anything. As Monica pointed out, remember what happened with y2k? Look how that turned out.
That can be true but you have 2 think of the negative side of this ALL people have different spiritual beliefs as in a different religion but don't you think if we all get enlightened that would cause a spiritual war?!?! im just thinking of all sides of this story and how can probably backfire.
ok my view on 2012, a lot of people believe through the Mayan Calender certain events are going to happen, they were wiped out before been able to go any further then 2012. As for the enlightenment, who knows we are evolving all the time, how were we created, so many theories. Now to my belief:
I believe not everything is as it seems, yes the dinosaurs were wiped out, we were around at that time and survived as Neandethal pardon my spelling. But records believe "aliens or UFO" have been coming and going since the beginning of time and most civilizations have recording of this. Maybe its an appointment, maybe it is a shift which is suppose to happen in the planet causing mayhem, maybe the world will end. All I know is we could debate and hope for the possibilities and wish the end will not come. I do believe something will happen, what I ain't got a clue, but whether it is something bad or good I will deal with it when it happens the best way I can. Oh and anyone looked up what the moon position is suppose to be new years eve or new years day, maybe that could deduct or answer a question.
Just for the record, there is no real scientific evidence to suggest that "indigo" or "star" children have extra genes. It sounds cool but it just isn't true. Honestly, a lot of people have indigo auras, it just means they are especially spiritual people.
As far as 2012 goes, if you do some research you will find that 2396022 is correct, because the whole idea that the world is going to end is based on a misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar. 2012 is the end of one cycle of the calendar, the beginning of a new age. It is significant, but it has nothing to do with the end of the world. The nice thing about 2012 is it is supposed to mean the coming of a more spiritual age. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I myself have already begun to feel the effects of the coming increase in spiritual energy. I'm looking forward to this age, we should all be thankful that we are around to see the end of an age and the beginning of a new one.
Come on people, research is easy these days. Google something and read the Wiki before you make assumptions. It isn't all true but it at least gives you a more educated base to frame your opinions on.
I found out that in astrology (though it may not be the same system we use today) the year 2000 marks the end of an age of servitude for humanity and the beginning of an age of enlightenment and thinking. Perhaps they were 12 years off, or maybe that was just the first step. A scientist, possibly Newton, calculated exactly when Armageddon, as told by the Bible, would occur and he arrived at 2060. Perhaps humanity's journey into the New Age will be more gradual than we expect. Even now we're just hearing about how all the world's random number generators stopped being random on 9/11.
The world can't end in 2012,unless theres a great diseater(bad spelling)in the balance of the universe.Come on we have magick and power if 2012 does happen we can stop it!
