I saw your pictures of your spirit house, Clever! That is very neat. I actually tend to go with the jar idea. I like to keep the jars up on a shelf near my main altars and fill them with related items, and shiny things. Lots of shiny things. I did have a weird experience once where one of the jars broke into several pieces and I couldn't find some of the items I had placed in it. I quickly made another one. There is no wrath like the wrath of an angered wight.

Merry meet, i have recently started reading about the Norse traditions, and was wondering how one contacts or meets a wight.

I like the recent spirit house I saw Krasskova post on her facebook. iT is really marvlious. The Greeks have something similiar to what is called a Lars.

Fae, I'm pretty sure the Lars were Roman. Maybe the Greeks had something similar but not an actual name for them. As they had quite a few things like that.

As for the rest of the other stuff, the Greeks worshiped (If that's the best word, I'm not relatively sure if it is)the nymphs. There were many different kinds. Dryads, naiads, and many others that I have forgotten the exact name/spelling.

Dryads were/are either seen as a tree, or the whole forest. More often then not they were seen as a single tree.

Naiads were/are seen as water spirits, or river spirits.

I know there are many more. Mountain spirits, cloud spirits, and so forth. There really is a lot, I've looked over the list of all of them a few times.

(Just to add another culture of similar things into this)

In the 10 years I've been practicing, I had no idea how limited my knowledge was ...

As soon as I'm able, I'm honoring such wights, as an equal part of my practices.

Again, simply outstanding!
