Then you shouldn't be doing it and expecting it to work. You must learn magick. Study it. You can't just start with some of the harder things and expect it to work out. You have to know what magick is. How it works. Then, maybe then , you'll have better chances if it working.

depends on the spell you are using if it claims that you can bring forth something mythical into a physical body then don't trust it but if you summon forth something like a god or goddess or anything like those then yes it can work but also be aware that your ability bring forth energy among other things affect if you can summon forth this entity for your needs and wants

You should look into summoning simple fae like faeries and such, they aren't too dangerous but (from what I have heard) should keep you safe from malevolent spirits trying to sneak through.

Summoning spells are real, and sometimes people will use them for spirit assistance.
other times, people use them to talk to spirits or demons. Just for fun.

As long as they are aware of the possible consequences and know how to make spirits and demons go away, they are good :)

I have summoned many spirits and even demons and I am perfectly fine. :)

It's better to know the basics when you are a beginner before doing some spells.

Summoning is not considered a spell but a ritual.

From some time ago I tryie'd a Latin summoning spell.
I did not know what the words.
But when i said the words I could feel'd something really evil
And I banished it from my house and my body.
I translatet the words and it something about summoning a evil spiret.
So yes it is real, and if i was you i would not be toying with things like that
